deLiver is pleased to be inviting you to participate in the inaugural super-inter-regional postcard art swap lucky dip exhibition spectacular!!!

All you have to do is live in regional Australia* and follow these five very easy steps:

1. Make a postcard about where you live
(collage, drawing, photos, comics, stencils, heiroglyphics - all acceptable)

2. Write a message on it
(wish you were here, found object graf, erotic haiku, an alphabetical list of what you hate about your town - all acceptable)

3. Stamp your postcard but do not address it.

4. Put it in an envelope. Write your address on the back of the envelope.

5. Post the envelope to:

Do all this before SEPTEMBER 4th, 2008!

Postcards will be exhibited at "art at the heart" in Alice Springs during the first week of October, 2008.

Then team deLiver will send the postcards out to all the fine folk who sent one. That's right - everyone who contributes a postcard will also have the pleasure of receiving one! It's all about the trade.

We hope you will be delighted to receive your unique two-sided miniature zine of regional wonderment in the mail in January 2009.

deLiver is anticipating your contribution with the special kind of enthusiasm we reserve for all things postal.

The postal system is vital for regional australia, where vast distances can be isolating. In this age of instant messages we want to pay homage to snail mail, which tangibly connects us as art makers, zinesters, and writers. deLiver is a flow of homemade miniatures from the periphery to the centre and back again, acknowledging the postal system as the arteries and veins leading to and from the vital organs of the country.

*regional Australia means anywhere outside a big capital. Residents of Darwin and Hobart are welcome to enter.
