Digital gifts

September has flashed past! I will record a new podcast soon. Meanwhile, a story of mine ‘Architecture’ from the new collection was last weekend’s Sunday Story on Radio National: listen here for free. Part of a Utopia/Dystopia special which had my work broadcast alongside an interview with Margaret Atwood – I immediately went back in time to tell my 15 year old self this would happen. That should keep her going for a while.

And a brand new story ‘Transparency’ is in the new volume of the Review of Australian Fiction, which is a fantastic fortnightly digital publication – subscribe to read great new work from established and emerging Australian writers, or cherry-pick at your leisure. Hooray for indie publishing startups, noble champions of the short story form. And I’m not just saying that because they say nice things about me.

The slow dawn of the digital era brings more gifts than extinctions, i reckon.
